Perricone Rosé Costadune

Mandrarossa is the clear and genuine expression of Sicily's new face in wine growing. Perricone is a real gem among sicilian grape varieties. It grows on medium textured soils near the sea, where the breeze gives the grapes its great flavour. This Rosé is a fresh, versatile wine that recalls the scents of spring.

Territory of origin: Menfi, south western coast of Sicily

Grapes: Perricone 100%

Wine type: Rosé Terre Siciliane IGT

Terroir: The vineyards grow on hills facing south, at 100 – 250 mt a.s.l., on medium-textured and clayey soils

Vineyards: The density of our vineyards, grown using vertical trellis training and guyot pruning, amounts to 4.300 – 4.700 plants/ha

Vinification: After cold maceration of the grapes at a temperature of 3 – 5 °C for 6 – 8 hours, the must is left to ferment for 15 – 20 days in stainless steel tanks at 12 °C

Ageing: Ageing continues in the bottle for 3 months after bottling
