An enchanted territory, a natural paradise of rare and surprising beauty right at the center of the Mediterranean. It is Menfi, facing the crystal-clear sea, crossed by rivers, and teeming with hills and valleys, a true treasure of nature, food and wines to be discovered, explored and experienced. The habitat here is unique, the fruit of a process of unceasing osmosis between Sicily and Africa, characterized by enchanting natural landscapes with countless vineyards set within them like jewels. A rural landscape that enchants the eyes with its green and the heart with emotions.
The fields are rich in wildlife and many colorful flowers such as daffodils, plumbago and oleanders, and in spring they are enriched with the yellow of the brooms, the purple of the honeysuckles or the blue of the rosemary, filling and enchant the air with their scent. Wild plants grow everywhere, downy oaks, carob trees, pines, olive trees and eucalypti, along with a myriad of palmettos.
It is in this pristine area that Mandrarossa wines are born: they take their distinctive character from the energy and generosity of this countryside. Wines that are the authentic expression of their territory of origin, made from typical Sicilian grape varieties such as nero d’avola, grillo and grecanico, from non-native grapes such as syrah, cabernet sauvignon, merlot or chardonnay, which have found here the ideal conditions for their growth, or from more innovative grapes for Sicilian viticulture, such as sauvignon blanc, viognier, fiano, chenin blanc, petit verdot or alicante bouschet that in the whole of Sicily are grown here in Menfi alone.
