Mandrarossa conquers again: Timperosse and Chardonnay Laguna Secca awarded with Gold and Silver Medals
The Petit Verdot and the 100% Chardonnay with an international character and Sicilian soul, gold and silver medals at the International Gran Prix of Wine MONDUS VINI
During the most recent hours, another great achievement for Mandrarossa and its wines that continue to conquer the public and international recognitions. On September 1st, the results were communicated for the 27th International Gran Prix of Wine MUNDUS VINI Summer edition, to which the brand participated with some of its most researched wines.
The jury, due to the strict regulations that limited the awarding of medals to 40% of the wines with a score of at least 85 points, highlighted with their awards the value of the medals and the integrity and uniqueness of the event.
The satisfaction at Mandrarossa is great and the result of the work of the teams guided by the oenologist Mimmo De Gregorio and the winemaker Filippo Buttafuoco, work based constantly on harmony, sustainability, research and innovation. An even greater satisfaction when considering that two of the brand’s wines received excellent awards: Mandrarossa’s Timperosse Terre Siciliane IGT 2019 received the Gold Medal and Mandrarossa’s Chardonnay Laguna Secca Sicilia DOC 2019 that brings home the Silver Medal.

Timperosse, 100% Petit Verdot, is a young and lively red. An innovative variety and unconventional for our territory, even more if vinified as a single blend. A wine for a cheerful occasion, with an intense red colour with violet reflections and soft and gentle tannins. An inebriating aroma with elegant notes of red fruit such as black mulberries and prunes, aromatic herbs including rosemary and sage. It’s Mandrarossa’s youngest and most innovative red.
Chardonnay Laguna Secca is Mandrarossa’s 100% Chardonnay, distinguished by its typical Mediterranean notes of prickly pear and orange peel. The wine is straw-yellow in colour with golden-green reflections. To the palates it’s bold and captivating, with a marked minerality and persistence. A white with a Sicilian soul and a seducing international character.
