The Petit Verdot variety produces a wine with an intense ruby-red color, spicy, dry and properly tannic. Usually blended with other wines to give color and structure, it is ideal for guaranteeing a long aging.
Mandrarossa wines produced from this variety
Mandrarossa chose to pay homage to this unconventional variety for our region, vinifying it as a single variety. The result is Timperosse, a young and lively red with fruity aromas of black mulberry, characterized by soft and subtle tannins.
