Perricone
Characteristics of the grape
Medium-spherical grape, or slightly elongated due to the compression of the grapes caused by the compactness of the bunch. Very pruinose skin, thick and leathery, with a blue to black color. Plain and sweet pulp, with a slightly greenish juice.
Sensory profile of the wine
Perricone is a variety usually vinified in red resulting in full-bodied wines, with hints of fruit and spicy notes.
Mandrarossa wines produced from this variety
After several micro-vinification studies, Mandrarossa determined this variety to be ideal for producing rosé. This is how the production of the Perricone Rosé Costadune came about, with hints of rose and wild berries that remind of spring.
